Einzige Branchenvertretung in Österreich
Das Forum und seine Mitglieder repräsentieren rund 65 Prozent des österreichischen Gesamtmarkts, es ist die einzige spezifische Branchenvertretung in Österreich. Darüber hinaus ist das Zertifikate Forum Austria Gründungsmitglied des europäischen Dachverbands EUSIPA (European Structured Investment Products Association), der die Interessen der Branche auf europäischer Ebene vertritt.
Ein Forum, ein Anliegen
Ziel des Zertifikate Forum Austria ist die Förderung und Entwicklung des Zertifikatemarkts in Österreich. Das Zertifikate Forum Austria ist der Überzeugung, dass der Einsatz von Zertifikaten dem Privatanleger hohen Nutzen bei abschätzbarem Risiko bringen kann. Der Verein informiert über Zertifikate, schafft und fördert Transparenz und Ausbildung und vertritt darüber hinaus auch die regulatorischen Interessen der Zertifikatebranche. Auf Basis der kooperativen Grundhaltung versteht sich das Zertifikate Forum Austria als Ansprechpartner für die Zusammenarbeit mit Behörden und Institutionen.
Produkt- und Markttransparenz
Als unabhängiger und nicht gewinnorientierter Verein setzt sich das Zertifikate Forum Austria auch auf gesellschaftlicher und politischer Ebene für Zertifikate als Anlageinstrument ein. Die Steigerung der Produkt- und Markttransparenz ist erklärtes Ziel des Vereins: einerseits durch die statistische Erfassung des Marktsegments der Zertifikate hinsichtlich Volumen und Bestand, andererseits durch die Erstellung einer klaren und einheitlichen Produktklassifizierung auf europäischer Ebene zur besseren Vergleichbarkeit für Investoren und die Öffentlichkeit. Mit der Erstellung des Zertifikate Kodex hat das Zertifikate Forum Austria eine weitere Maßnahme in Sachen Transparenz gesetzt: Mit dem Kodex haben sich die Mitglieder des Forums freiwillig verpflichtet, einheitliche Leitlinien hinsichtlich Emission, Vertrieb, Marketing und Handel von Zertifikaten einzuhalten. Das ermöglicht Anlegern einen einfachen Vergleich der entscheidenden Produktmerkmale und Risikoprofile.
Produktklassifizierung
Dem Anleger steht eine große Auswahl an Zertifikaten zur Verfügung. Alleine in Österreich sind es rund 9.500 strukturierte Produkte, aus denen der Anleger wählen kann. Die Produktklassifizierung des Zertifikate Forum Austria, entwickelt in Zusammenarbeit mit dem europäischen Dachverband EUSIPA, bietet eine einfache und leicht verständliche Orientierung: Die Zertifikategruppen werden je nach Chancen-Risiko-Profil mit den Spielpositionen einer Fußballmannschaft verglichen.

Zertifikate Forum Austria was founded in April 2006 by Austria’s leading certificate issuers. The current members of the forum are Raiffeisen Bank International AG, Erste Group Bank AG, UniCredit Bank Austria AG, and Vontobel Financial Products Gmbh. The Forum’s sponsoring members include the leading certificates exchanges in Germany and Austria – Börse Stuttgart, Börse Frankfurt Zertifikate AG, Wiener Börse AG and gettex exchange- as well as the finance portal finanzen.net GmbH.
The Forum and its members represent around 65 percent of the total Austrian market; it is the only industry representation for structured products in Austria. Furthermore, Zertifikate Forum Austria is a founding member of the European umbrella organization EUSIPA (European Structured Investment Products Association), which represents the interests of the industry at the European level.
The aim of Zertifikate Forum Austria is to promote and develop the certificates market in Austria. The forum is convinced that the use of certificates can bring a lot of benefits to private investors as well as institutional investors while having an assessable risk. The association provides information on structured products, creates and promotes transparency as well as education and represents the regulatory interests of the certificates industry. On the basis of a cooperative attitude, Zertifikate Forum Austria sees itself as a contact partner for the cooperation with authorities and institutions, not only for the creation of a legal framework, but also for an increase in the financial literacy of investors.
As an independent non-profit association, Zertifikate Forum Austria also advocates certificates as an investment instrument on a social and political level. The increase of product and market transparency is the declared goal: on the one hand, through the statistical recording of the certificates market in terms of volume, on the other hand, through the creation of a clear and uniform product classification at the European level for better comparability for investors and the public.
